Caroline Young

Instructor/Coach

Caroline joined MIT in 2023 as co-head coach of the MIT Open and Women’s Sailing Programs, as well as instructor with Physical Education and Wellness. As a student-athlete, Young graduated with a B.S. from Stanford University in Engineering with a concentration in Product Design in 2007. She was a two-time Women’s Team MVP while being named to the All-America Team and B Division Champion at the 2005 ICSA Women’s National Championship. Caroline is an avid boxer and has also instructed weight training and HIIT circuit training. She is inspired by the wellness field and has developed and taught curriculum in the personal development space. She is also a dog mom to Jasper, who visits the Sailing Pavilion every now and then.

Best vacation

Best vacation was sailing the World Championships on Lake Garda in Italy. It's a glacial lake between two mountains, and my family came to watch and support.
