Blake Newman

Part-time Specialty Instructor

Blake started teaching Aikido at MIT in 2016. He has a Bachelor’s degree from Berklee College of Music and holds a Black Belt in Aikido conferred by Hombu Dojo in Tokyo, Japan. Blake has been teaching music for many years and has also taught Aikido in after school programs around the Boston Area. Blake is a full-time musician- playing Bass as well as teaching music. He loves to run, play basketball, cook and bake, play sports and hang out with his wife and three sons.
